June feels mild rather than reliably sunny. Days reach about 21°C, but evenings can cool to 11°C. Rain falls often, and cloud can break up the views of the Alps. You'll get long evenings, but don't count on clear skies all day.

The weather still suits Vaduz's outdoor sights. Walk through the centre to the red-roofed Government Building, then take the path towards Vaduz Castle for views when the clouds lift. Wet trails can make longer hikes less pleasant, so keep the Liechtenstein National Museum or Kunstmuseum as a rainy-day option.

Events and crowds

Corpus Christi, a Catholic holiday with church services and processions, can fall in June. Its date changes each year, so it isn't guaranteed to land during your visit. Vaduz's biggest national celebration is in August, not June.

June is the start of summer, so expect more visitors than in the quieter winter months. It's generally less busy than the peak summer holiday period, though demand can push accommodation prices up from low-season levels.

If you hate crowds, visit the centre on a weekday and save the castle viewpoint for a break in the clouds.
