June: hot and soaked

June feels sticky from morning, with a high of 30°C and humidity at 87%. Rain falls on 24 days, often making afternoons wet and cloudy. You'll get little sunshine, so don't count on long, dry days for outdoor plans.

The Liujiang riverfront and Ma'anshan Park can still work between showers. But muddy paths and sudden downpours make longer hikes less appealing. Save the Liuzhou Industrial Museum for a rainy spell, and avoid planning a full day around outdoor sightseeing.

Dragon Boat Festival

June is summer, but it's not the easiest month for a city break. Compared with October to December, you're likely to find fewer visitors and softer demand for hotels. Rain can still disrupt plans, so keep indoor sights in your day.

For a local meal, try luosifen, Liuzhou's famous sour, spicy snail rice noodles. The hot broth can feel like a lot in humid weather, so choose a less spicy version if you prefer. On wet days, pair lunch with the indoor Industrial Museum rather than a long riverside walk.
