June marks the start of summer travel, so Bursa is generally busier than in quieter winter months. It's still before the busiest stretch of summer, and usually less crowded than July, when it gets hotter and drier. Prices can start rising as demand picks up, especially around festival dates, but June isn't automatically peak season.

A useful local tip

Pair Koza Han with a break for Turkish tea in its courtyard, then try İskender kebab nearby. This Bursa speciality is sliced döner served over bread with tomato sauce, melted butter and yoghurt.

For a cooler change of scene, ride the Bursa Teleferik from the city towards Uludağ rather than tackling the climb on foot. It's a practical way to reach the mountain, and the ride gives you a broad view of Bursa's rooftops and green slopes. Check the cable car's operating status locally, as conditions can affect service.
