January weather in Bursa

January feels cold, damp and often grey. Daytime highs reach about 9°C, while nights can fall to 1°C. Rain comes on many days, and you'll see little sunshine, so wet pavements and low cloud can make long sightseeing days less appealing.

Ski trips and January events

Uludağ is Bursa's main winter draw. When snow conditions are good, you can ski or take the cable car up from the city. But fog, rain or wind can spoil the views and affect the ride, so don't make the mountain your only plan.

January is generally a quieter, often cheaper time for a city stay than Bursa's popular April-to-June and September-to-October periods. Ski hotels are the exception: demand can rise when snow is good, so prices may not feel low near Uludağ.
