October is a comfortable time to explore Huzhou. Days feel mild, and evenings are cooler, without September's heavier rain. Showers still come, so Nanxun Ancient Town's canals and old lanes are best enjoyed at an easy pace, with indoor stops when rain sets in. The weather also suits a walk around Taihu Lake or a visit to the city's museums. Skip plans that depend on a long, sunny beach day: cloud is common, and sunshine is limited.
