October: wet-season days

October feels warm, sticky and often grey in Tegucigalpa. The high reaches 26°C, but humidity is high and rain falls on many days. Showers can interrupt walks and leave streets slick, so outdoor sightseeing may take longer than you expect.

You can still visit the Museo para la Identidad Nacional or browse central markets between showers. Save longer walks around Parque La Leona for a clearer spell, and skip exposed hikes if the slopes look muddy. With little daily sunshine, don't count on a full day at an outdoor sight.
