November feels mild rather than wintry, but it's often damp and cloudy. You'll get about 3.9 hours of sun a day, with rain on 14 days, so keep plans flexible. The 19°C highs can suit strolls around Corfu Town and visits to museums, while wet days are better for lingering over pastitsada, a local meat-and-pasta dish.

The sea and beach days are less reliable now. Skip plans that depend on long stretches of sunshine, and don't count on every beach-side café being open. For a walk, choose the Old Town's narrow lanes over exposed coastal paths when showers threaten.

A quieter island

November is well outside Corfu's busy summer season. You'll find fewer visitors and a calmer feel in Corfu Town, though some hotels, restaurants and beach businesses close for the season. Prices are generally lower than in the peak summer months, but there may be less choice.

A November tradition

Corfu's St Spyridon procession takes place on the first Sunday in November. It honours the island's patron saint and draws locals into the streets, so expect more activity around the procession route that day.

A useful local tip: when rain sets in, use the covered arcades along the Liston to get between the Spianada and the Old Town. They offer shelter without taking you far from the sights. November's short days make it worth keeping outdoor plans flexible, especially with frequent cloud and showers.
