Xinxiang Weather in October

Mild days outdoors

October is one of Xinxiang's best months for a visit. Afternoons reach about 23°C, while nights fall to around 11°C, so sightseeing feels comfortable rather than sticky or cold. Rain is limited, and you'll often have enough clear daylight for a full day out.

Baligou Scenic Area, in nearby Huixian, suits a day of walking among cliffs and waterfalls. In the city, you can explore Xinxiang Museum without summer heat weighing you down. Save long outdoor plans for dry days; autumn showers can still make paths slippery.

National Day crowds

China's National Day holiday runs from October 1 to 7. Popular sights and trains can get busy, and hotel prices often rise during that week. After the holiday, Xinxiang is usually calmer and better value than during the peak travel period.

If you hate crowds, visit after National Day and enjoy quieter walks at Baligou. October is also a welcome change from September, which is warmer and much wetter. November is cooler, so October gives you a comfortable middle ground for city visits and countryside trips.

A local tip

At Baligou, take the shuttle deeper into the scenic area rather than spending your energy on the approach. You'll have more time for the waterfall paths and mountain views. Check the return shuttle times when you arrive, especially if you're planning to stay until late afternoon.

For dinner back in Xinxiang, try Hu spicy soup, a peppery local breakfast dish often served with flatbread. It's warming after a cool evening, though it's usually more of a morning meal. If you're visiting during National Day, expect the busiest travel days around the holiday itself.
