Mild days by the river

November is autumn in Wenzhou, with daytime highs around 20°C and nights near 12°C. It feels mild rather than wintry, but the air can be damp and the sky often cloudy. Rain falls on about 12 days, so a shower may interrupt an outdoor plan.

You can still enjoy a walk around Jiangxin Islet or browse Wuma Street between showers. The softer weather also suits a day trip to Nanxi River, though muddy paths can make longer walks less pleasant after rain. Save exposed viewpoints for a clearer day.

Prices may also be gentler than during busier travel periods, though weekends can still draw local visitors to popular sights. December is cooler and drier, so November offers a useful middle ground.

Cloudy spells and damp pavements can make a full day outdoors less appealing. Keep an indoor stop in mind, such as Wenzhou Museum, and enjoy Jiangxin Islet when the weather clears. You'll get more from its temples and river views without rushing between showers.
