January: cold, quiet days

January feels properly wintry in Shangqiu. Days reach about 6°C, but nights drop below freezing, so the cold can linger after sunset. Rain is limited, though grey skies are common. You'll get some sunshine, but not enough warmth to make long outdoor days comfortable.
