Raipur Weather in July

July: deep monsoon

Raipur is hot, sticky and very wet in July. Days reach 31°C, and rain falls on 26 days, with heavy cloud and little sunshine. It's cooler than June, but humidity stays high, so walking around can feel tiring.

Outdoor sightseeing can be interrupted by downpours and soggy roads. Keep plans flexible, and save the Mahant Ghasidas Memorial Museum for a rainy spell. If you hate crowds, July is a quieter time to visit than the popular December and January months.

What to do

Guru Purnima often falls in July, though its date changes each year. You may see worshippers marking the day at temples and ashrams. It's a religious observance, not a major city-wide festival, so don't expect big street celebrations.

Crowds and costs
