If you hate crowds, visit the Walled City on a weekday. January is a popular time to come, as it sits within Lahore's best-weather months, from November to February. Expect more visitors at major sights than in the hotter months, and don't count on low-season prices.

The clear, cool weather suits a walk through Shalimar Gardens or a long stop at the Lahore Museum. Save an evening for food along Gawalmandi's restaurant streets, where a warm meal feels especially welcome. January doesn't have a major Lahore festival that takes place reliably every year. New Year's Day is a bank holiday in Pakistan, so banks close, but it isn't a broad public holiday. You'll still find Lahore's usual sights and food scene open.
