February is part of the island's popular winter travel season, so Willemstad can feel busier than in the quieter summer months. Accommodation and flights may cost more than in less popular periods, though prices vary. It's still a relatively dry month: January is wetter, while March gets less rain.

At the Queen Emma bridge, wait for the signal before crossing; the floating bridge swings open for ships, and you may need to take the free ferry instead. That's a small delay, but it gives you a lovely view of the Handelskade waterfront.
