For a local meal, look for Nantong-style river seafood in restaurants around the city centre. After a walk in the cold, a hot bowl of noodles or soup is especially welcome. If you visit Langshan, check the conditions before you set out. A cold, wet slope is less enjoyable than the riverside museums on a grey day.
