February: warm and rainy

February feels warm rather than scorching, with highs around 29°C and evenings near 18°C. Rain falls on many days, and the sky is often cloudy, so you may get a bright spell followed by a shower. January is wetter; March is a little cooler but still rainy.

You can visit central sights such as the Gaddafi Mosque between showers, or take a relaxed meal in town. For outdoor plans, keep them flexible: wet paths can make a climb up Lion Rock slippery, and long countryside drives may be less pleasant after heavy rain. February doesn't have a major annual festival in Dodoma, so don't plan your trip around a big event.
