Local life and crowds

There isn't a major Qujing festival that reliably falls in November. China's Singles' Day on November 11 brings nationwide online shopping promotions, rather than a local street celebration. With no big national holiday in the month, Qujing is generally calmer than during October's Golden Week or the summer school break. You'll find less competition for rooms and a quieter feel at popular sights than in those peak periods; November is also one of Qujing's better months to visit.

A good fit for walkers

Hikers and travellers who prefer cool weather may enjoy November's clear, dry feel. You'll get about six hours of sunshine a day, but evenings turn cold, so don't leave your walk back from Qilin Park too late. Rain falls on only a few days, though cloud can still soften the views.
