December: deep winter

New Year in Omsk

December brings New Year decorations and events around the city. Families may enjoy seasonal displays and skating when local rinks are open. Orthodox Christmas falls in January, so don't expect that holiday itself to take over December.

Families with young children may prefer short outings between warm indoor stops. The cold and limited daylight can make a full day outside hard for little ones.
