Crowds and costs

December is generally quieter and less expensive than Valencia's popular spring and autumn months. The city can feel especially calm between the holiday dates. Expect more people near Plaza del Ayuntamiento and central sights around Christmas and New Year's Eve, though; those days aren't as peaceful.

November is warmer and wetter, while January is slightly cooler. December sits between them, with relatively little rain. If you're visiting during the holidays, keep your plans flexible around closures. On ordinary days, you can enjoy museums, cafés and the City of Arts and Sciences without the heavier crowds of peak season.
