April's thaw

April feels like winter loosening its grip, not spring in full swing. Days reach around 7°C, but nights can dip below freezing. Snowmelt, damp pavements and cloudy spells are part of the picture, with rain on several days. Compared with March, it's milder; May brings a much bigger lift in warmth.

It connects central stops with the route towards Akademgorodok, where you can see the open-air feel of the university district. April weather can change through the day, so plan outdoor time around the clearest spell rather than relying on a long walk.
