October is a comfortable month in Jinjiang. Days reach about 27°C, while evenings cool to around 20°C. It's less hot and much drier than September, with rain on only a handful of days. Humidity still hangs in the air, but sightseeing feels easier than in summer.

You can wander Wudian City's old lanes or visit Anping Bridge without the worst heat. The coast can work for a walk, though October isn't reliably beach weather. Keep indoor plans for a rainy spell, and don't count on every afternoon being clear.

Holidays and crowds

China's National Day holiday falls in early October. Jinjiang's sights and transport can get busy then, as families travel around the country. Hotels may cost more during the holiday than later in the month or in quieter winter weeks.

For a calmer visit, choose dates after the holiday rush. Families may enjoy Wulin Traditional Village, where old houses make an easy outing; couples might prefer a quieter stroll along Anping Bridge.

October is among Jinjiang's best months overall, but the first week is the exception if you dislike crowds. Outside the holiday, the mild weather suits a city break and day trips around Quanzhou.

A local tip: at Wudian City, look for shops serving shacha noodles, a Fujian noodle soup with a savoury, peanut-rich sauce. It makes a good stop if rain interrupts your walk. For beach-focused travellers, keep expectations modest: the sea may feel less inviting than the warm days suggest.
