July: hot and rain-soaked

July feels sticky from morning to evening. The high reaches 32°C, nights stay warm, and humidity is high. Rain falls on 19 days, often interrupting plans, while cloud and limited sunshine can make outdoor sightseeing feel close and muggy.

You can still explore Rongcheng's old streets between showers, or take a slow look around Jieyang Museum. Keep outdoor walks short and leave room to change plans. The exposed climb at Huangqi Mountain is less appealing in heavy rain or midday heat. June is wetter, but July is still a very wet month.

For Huangqi Mountain, check the local forecast before setting off; wet paths can make the climb unpleasant. July's long daylight doesn't guarantee a sunny afternoon, so avoid building your whole day around outdoor plans.
