Take Metro Line 11 to Nanxiang, then walk between Guyi Garden and the old town. Try Nanxiang xiaolongbao, soup-filled dumplings closely linked to the area. On a rainy day, the dumplings offer a cosy break from walking. November's shorter daylight also means it's worth keeping this outing focused on Nanxiang rather than trying to squeeze in distant Jiading sights.
