Xuhui Weather in November

Mild days for exploring

November feels cool and mostly comfortable in Xuhui. Days reach about 18°C, while evenings fall to around 10°C. There's some rain, but it's not a washout: expect showers on several days, with around five hours of sun a day.

It's a good month to walk Wukang Road and see its old villas, or spend a dry afternoon among the plane trees of the Former French Concession. Longhua Temple also works well when you want a quieter outdoor visit. Skip long, exposed walks on rainy days; the pavements can feel damp and chilly.

Arts and autumn events

The Shanghai International Arts Festival usually runs across October and November, with performances around the city. It's worth looking for events near Xuhui, but the programme changes each year. November also brings the China International Import Expo to Shanghai. It's held well away from Xuhui, yet can add business visitors and hotel demand across the city.

If you hate crowds, November is calmer than October's peak travel season. It's generally a quieter time for sightseeing, though the expo can make some dates busier and prices less predictable. Outside that period, you may find better value than in October.

Travelling with kids? Pair a walk along Wukang Road with a stop at a nearby café, then save indoor time for a rainy spell.

For an easy outing, take Metro Line 10 to Shanghai Library, then walk towards Wukang Mansion and Anfu Road. The route gives you historic streets, shops and places to pause without committing to a long day outside. Bring a warmer layer for the return after sunset; November evenings feel much cooler than the afternoons.
