May feels sticky in Hua Hin, with warm nights and little sunshine. Rain is recorded on 26 days, often as showers that can interrupt a beach afternoon or a walk along the shore. The sea may be rough after rain, so check local swimming flags before going in.

You can still enjoy a slower day: browse Hua Hin Railway Station, then shelter from a downpour in Market Village. For clearer spells, stroll the beach or visit Khao Takiab, but keep plans flexible. Long, exposed walks can feel tiring in the heat and humidity.

Holidays and crowds
