October: warm and very wet

October feels hot, sticky and often grey. The high reaches 30°C, and rain falls on 24 days, so showers can interrupt plans. You'll still have time for indoor sights like the War Remnants Museum or the Reunification Palace, and a short shower can leave room for a meal in District 1.

Long outdoor visits are less reliable. Cu Chi Tunnels can be muddy, and walking around Cholon is less pleasant in heavy rain. Keep outdoor plans flexible rather than writing off the whole day.

Vietnamese Women's Day falls on October 20. It's a working day, not a national day off, but you may see flowers and small celebrations around the city.
