The rain is lighter than February's, but March is still wet, with high humidity and limited sunshine.

Airport traffic is its own story: flights and terminals at GRU can still feel crowded.

Getting around on rainy days

Families who prefer less heat may find March easier than a hot, sunny beach break, but frequent showers can test little ones' patience.

For a city trip, use the CPTM airport train link from GRU to Engenheiro Goulart, then connect onward toward central São Paulo. Leave extra time on rainy days, when road journeys between the airport and Guarulhos can slow down. For a local outing, try the Catedral Nossa Senhora da Conceição in the city centre, then duck into a nearby café if the rain starts.
