April: hot days, changing skies

April feels hot in Coimbatore, with daytime highs around 36°C and nights near 24°C. Humidity can make afternoons feel sticky, and rain falls on several days. The showers may interrupt a plan, but they don't usually make the whole day a washout.

Keep outdoor sightseeing for the cooler parts of the day. Marudhamalai Temple is worth visiting, but its hilltop setting means the climb can feel hard in the heat.
