Easter and spring crowds

Semana Santa, Mexico's Easter holiday week, can bring many Mexican families to the beaches. Its dates change each year, so the busiest spell shifts too. Cabo also draws spring-break visitors, though the biggest party crowds often arrive earlier in spring.

Families who want calmer beach days may prefer visiting outside Semana Santa. Prices and crowds can rise during the holiday week, while April is generally less busy than the winter high season. After Easter, the pace often eases, though popular boat trips and beachfront spots can still fill up.

A useful Cabo tip

If you're taking a water taxi to El Arco, agree on the return time and meeting point before you leave the marina. The sea can be choppy, and boats may not land at the rock formation. You'll usually see it from the water instead.

For couples, a sunset cruise past El Arco is a lovely way to end the day. For a quieter swim, try Chileno Bay, away from Médano's busy waterfront. Check sea conditions locally before snorkeling, as calm water can't be guaranteed.
