January and June to September are the top choices, so if you have the flexibility, aim for one of those.

You can still visit the Nairobi National Museum or head out for a morning game drive in Nairobi National Park. The park's open grasslands are worth seeing, though heavy rain can make unpaved tracks hard going. Save long walks in Karura Forest for a drier spell, since the trails get slippery quickly.
