May feels warm and springlike in Linyi, with pleasant mornings and afternoons that can feel hot on open streets. The high reaches 29°C, while nights cool to around 14°C. Rain falls on about eight days, so a shower may interrupt a walk, but it rarely defines the whole visit.

You'll have long days for the Wang Xizhi Memorial Hall and a stroll around the Yihe River. Save exposed hikes in the Mengshan area for clearer spells; wet paths can make the climb less comfortable. June is hotter and wetter, so May is a better fit for mixing city sights with time outdoors.
