September feels sticky

September is still hot, with highs around 30°C and warm nights. Humidity is high, and rain can fall on many days. Afternoon plans can feel tiring, so keep outdoor sightseeing flexible.

You can still ride the Star Ferry, explore Central's covered walkways or visit the M+ museum in West Kowloon. Heavy showers and typhoons can disrupt harbour views, hikes and beach time, so don't make those your only plans.

The Mid-Autumn Festival sometimes falls in September. If it does, look for lantern displays and the Tai Hang Fire Dragon Dance, a traditional parade through the neighbourhood. The festival's date changes each year, so it isn't guaranteed to land in September.
