Doha Weather in February

Mild winter days

February is one of Doha's easiest months for getting around. Afternoons reach about 24°C, while evenings cool to around 15°C. It's dry, with rain on just one day on average, and plenty of sunshine. You can wander the Museum of Islamic Art grounds, explore Souq Waqif, or take a walk along the Corniche without summer's punishing heat.

The sea breeze can make evenings feel cool, so you may want a light layer for a stroll by the water. March is warmer, while January is a little cooler and wetter.

Sport and city outings

Qatar National Sport Day falls in February, with public activities and sporting events across the country. Its date changes each year. Doha also hosts major tennis tournaments in some Februaries, including the Qatar TotalEnergies Open; check the year's schedule before making it part of your trip.

Families may enjoy Sport Day's outdoor activities, but popular events can draw busy crowds. Away from event venues, February is a good time to visit Katara Cultural Village or stroll through Msheireb Downtown Doha.

Crowds and practical tips

December to March is Doha's best-weather season, so February is busier than the hot summer months. Expect more visitors at popular sights and firmer hotel prices than during the low season. It's not usually the quietest time for a city break, but the pleasant weather makes outdoor sightseeing far more comfortable.

For couples who like evening walks, the Corniche is a lovely choice after sunset. Take the Doha Metro to Souq Waqif station, then explore the market on foot. Its lanes are easy to enjoy in the cooler evening air, and you can stop for machboos, a spiced rice dish with meat or fish.
