If you hate crowds, visit the Jardim Botânico on a weekday rather than a holiday. Its famous glasshouse is a handy stop on a rainy day, but it can feel busy when the weather turns wet. Pack your sightseeing around indoor stops, and save longer park walks for a drier spell.
