Best Time to Visit Caloocan
Philippines · weather by month, temperature and rainfall
Weather-wise, January and February is the best time to visit Caloocan. Temperatures barely change through the year: highs stay between 28°C and 33°C, so rainfall matters far more than heat when choosing when to go. The rainy season runs over July and September to December; December is the wettest month with about 415 mm (16.3 in) of rain. July is the least comfortable month, mainly because of the rain.

Cool, drier months: January to March
Caloocan doesn't have a truly dry season, and our data rates every month Poor. January and February still score best for comfort. Highs stay around 28 to 29°C and nights are the mildest of the year.
February is the easier pick. It rains on 16 days instead of 23, and you get more sun for walking around. March is warmer and a bit drier again. Even so, expect sticky air and the odd shower.
Caloocan is mostly a base for city life rather than a sightseeing stop. Visit the Museo ni Andres Bonifacio, or the Bonifacio Monument at the Monumento roundabout. Both are far nicer on a dry morning. The LRT-1 runs right to Monumento, and it beats sitting in EDSA traffic.
Hot weeks: April and May
April is the hottest and driest-feeling stretch, with highs of 33°C and rain on 14 days. May ties April for the same 33°C high, but the nights are warmer and the rain returns on 24 days. Afternoons are heavy. Plan indoor stops in malls or churches for the middle of the day.
This is also the Philippine school break, so family trips are busy. Holy Week usually falls in March or April. Many shops close and the city empties as people head to their home provinces. If you want to see local Lenten traditions, this is the time. If you want things open, it isn't.
Rainy season: June to December
June to October bring the monsoon, called habagat. July, September and October each see 337 mm or more, and rain falls on 27 to 29 days a month. October is wetter than July and September in total. December is the wettest month overall, at 415 mm, though it feels cooler.
Streets can flood fast in Caloocan's low areas, and typhoons are possible. Check forecasts before you go, and keep your plans loose. Travelling with kids? Choose an indoor day and skip long walks.
December is the exception for mood. Christmas starts early in the Philippines, with lanterns, simbang gabi (dawn masses before Christmas) and bibingka, a warm rice cake. If you're here for the festive feel, accept the rain. If you want the least stress, aim for February.
