Best Time to Visit Taguig
Philippines · weather by month, temperature and rainfall
If you want the most pleasant weather in Taguig, plan your trip for February and March. Temperatures barely change through the year: highs stay between 28°C and 33°C, so rainfall matters far more than heat when choosing when to go. The rainy season runs over July and September to December; December is the wettest month with about 415 mm (16.3 in) of rain. July is the least comfortable month, mainly because of the rain.
When to go to Taguig: a seasonal guide
Dry-ish months: February to April
Taguig doesn't have a truly dry season, and every month rates Poor on our score. But February to April is the easiest stretch. Rain falls on about 14 to 16 days a month, and you'll get real sunshine, most of all in March and April.
February is the mildest, with highs of 29°C. By April it's hot and sticky, so plan your Bonifacio Global City (BGC) walks for evening, when the street art and the cafés around High Street are at their best. Malls and museums such as the Mind Museum make good midday escapes.
May to October: the wet months
May is the hottest month, with highs of 33°C, tied with April. Then the rain sets in. June to October brings 255 to 369 mm a month, and it rains on nearly every day. Sunshine drops to under 3 hours a day in most of these months.
Expect short, heavy downpours and some street flooding in low-lying parts of Metro Manila. Typhoons are most likely in this stretch, so keep your plans flexible. This is the cheaper, quieter time for hotels. It's also a fine time for indoor trips like food crawls, spa days and gallery visits.
Your Taguig day will mostly be indoors. Travelling with kids? Try the Mind Museum in BGC or the big mall play areas.
November to January: wet but cooler
Rain stays heavy into winter. December is the wettest month at 415 mm, and January still sees 23 rainy days. But highs ease to 28°C, and nights feel a little fresher. It's the closest Taguig gets to cool.
This is also the Philippines' big holiday season. Christmas starts early here, and the "ber" months (September to December) bring parols, which are star-shaped lanterns, and Simbang Gabi, the dawn masses before Christmas. BGC lights up with decorations, and the malls get very busy. Flights and family visits push travel demand up around Christmas and New Year, even though the weather is damp.
Which month for which trip?
For sightseeing and walking, go in February or March. For a cheap city break with indoor plans, pick July to September. For Christmas atmosphere, come in December and accept the rain. Taguig is also a handy base for day trips, but beach and island plans elsewhere in the Philippines work best in the drier months, so check those places separately.
