Warm days, cooler evenings

November is one of Sharm el-Sheikh's best months for being outdoors. Days reach 29°C, but the heat is gentler than October's, when highs reach 34°C. Evenings cool to around 21°C, so dinner outside in Naama Bay feels comfortable. Rain is rare, and the long sunny spells make beach time and boat trips easy to enjoy.

The Red Sea is still inviting for snorkelling and diving. Ras Mohammed National Park is a fine choice for clear-water swims and coral reefs, while a glass-bottom boat lets you see marine life without getting wet. The desert is also more pleasant to explore than in summer. Save strenuous walks for cooler parts of the day, and expect the evening to feel noticeably cooler than the beach.

There's no big annual festival that reliably fills Sharm in November. Mawlid, the celebration of the Prophet Muhammad's birthday, is observed in Egypt, but its date changes each year. If it falls during your visit, you may notice more activity around local mosques and family gatherings.

If you hate crowds, November is a good middle ground: it's busier than the hot summer months, but usually calmer than the Christmas and New Year period. It's also part of the popular winter season, so don't expect empty beaches or summer-low rates. You'll often find a better balance of choice and value than during peak holiday weeks.
