Nashik Weather in November

Sunny days, cool evenings

November in Nashik gives you warm afternoons, with highs around 29°C, and evenings that drop to about 16°C. You'll get plenty of sunshine, and rain tends to show up on only a few days. That mix makes it easy to spend the day on your feet.

Panchavati is a good place to start, with its walks and temples. From there, the temples near Ramkund are a short trip, and Trimbakeshwar makes a rewarding day out. When the sun goes down, the cooler air suits a slow stroll beside the Godavari. Waterfalls may run with less force than they do in the monsoon, so don't build your whole trip around dramatic cascades.

Many years, Kartik Purnima, also called Tripurari Purnima, lands in November. In Nashik, people light lamps along the Godavari, especially around Ramkund. The date follows the Hindu lunar calendar, though, so it won't fall in November every year. Check the date before you plan around it.

If you're travelling with family, the riverside lamps can turn an evening walk around Ramkund into something memorable. Expect crowds during the celebration, and give yourself extra time to move through the lanes of Panchavati.

Busy, but still a strong pick

Rooms and transport can be harder to find around festival dates. Even so, it's a more comfortable month for sightseeing than October, when rain is heavier.

If you like quiet walks, go to Ramkund on an ordinary evening rather than during Kartik Purnima. For a practical tip, take a rickshaw to Panchavati and walk between Sita Gufa and Ramkund. The lanes are narrow, and driving between them can be slow.
