Mild days for exploring

October is one of Incheon's best months to visit. Afternoons reach around 19°C, while evenings cool to about 10°C. The air feels less sticky than in September, and rain is lighter, though you can still get wet spells.

You'll have comfortable weather for walking around Songdo Central Park or exploring the old streets by Incheon's Open Port. Wolmido works for a breezy seaside stroll, but it's not really beach weather. If rain rolls in, swap the waterfront for the indoor exhibits at the Incheon Open Port Museum.

Holidays and local feel

South Korea marks National Foundation Day and Hangeul Day in October. These public holidays can bring more local visitors to popular sights, and some businesses may close. Check opening details for places you want to visit, especially around the holiday dates.

If you hate crowds, go to Chinatown on a weekday. Its steep streets and red gates are easier to enjoy without the weekend rush. From Incheon Station, cross the road to reach the main entrance.

Crowds and costs

October is a popular time for good reason, but it's outside the summer beach rush. You'll generally find fewer holidaymakers than in the hottest months, and hotel rates may be easier on your budget than during summer peaks. May is also a top month, so October isn't necessarily Incheon's quietest season.
