June weather on the island

June feels warm and mostly sunny, with long days for exploring. The average high reaches 24°C, and rain is scarce. You can swim at Cala Comte, wander Dalt Vila's steep lanes, or take a boat trip without summer's fiercest heat.

Evenings stay mild, so dining outdoors in Santa Eulària is comfortable. The sea and sun make beach time tempting, but don't expect July's hotter weather. For a long inland walk, the midday sun can still feel tiring.

Sant Joan celebrations

June brings the Sant Joan celebrations around the island. On the night of June 23, people gather for bonfires and festivities, including in Sant Joan de Labritja. It's a lively way to see local traditions, though celebrations can make nearby roads busier.

If you hate crowds, choose a quieter beach away from the main gathering spots that evening. You'll still get the long, bright June sunset without being in the middle of the party.

Crowds, costs and local tips

June is summer season, so Ibiza is busier and generally more expensive than May. It's usually less crowded and costly than July and August, but popular beaches and Ibiza Town's harbour can already feel packed. May to October is the island's wider best-weather season, so June sits near the start of the rush.

Travelling with kids? The warm, fairly dry days suit beach time, but Sant Joan festivities may be noisy late at night. For a quieter swim, head to Cala Xarraca in the north. If you're visiting Dalt Vila, take the bus into Ibiza Town and walk up; the old town's steep streets are easier to explore without searching for parking.
