For a rainy afternoon, head to Miniatur Wunderland in Speicherstadt. It's an indoor model railway attraction, and its detailed Hamburg scenes are especially fun to spot after seeing the real city. Check its ticket times before setting out; arriving without one can mean a wait. If the weather clears, take the U3 to Landungsbrücken and enjoy the harbour views from the promenade.
