October feels warm rather than scorching in Casablanca. Afternoons can reach 27°C, while evenings cool to around 18°C. You'll get plenty of sunshine, but cloud and rain are part of the month too: expect some wet days.

October doesn't have one major Casablanca festival that lands on the same dates every year. The date of Mawlid, which marks the Prophet Muhammad's birthday, follows the Islamic lunar calendar. It can fall in October in some years, but not all. If it does, you may notice family gatherings and changes to opening hours.

You can still make an evening of local food. Try a bowl of harira, a tomato and lentil soup, at a restaurant near the old medina. For a quieter break, stroll through Parc de la Ligue Arabe between visits.

October sits outside the busiest summer travel period, so the city often feels calmer than in high summer. It's still a popular month for a Morocco trip, but you're less likely to share the Corniche with holiday crowds. Prices can be easier than in peak months, though they vary by hotel and event.

For the Hassan II Mosque, check the guided tour times before you go; visitors can't simply wander through the prayer hall. If rain interrupts your plans, the Morocco Mall is a handy indoor stop at the end of the Corniche tram route.
