Adana Weather in April

April feels like spring

April is one of Adana's best months for being outdoors. Days are warm, evenings are cooler, and the weather is usually comfortable for walking. You'll get plenty of sunshine, though rain can still interrupt a day out.

This is a good time to explore the Roman stone bridge, Taşköprü, and stroll along the Seyhan River without May's stronger heat. A day trip to the ancient city of Anavarza also works well. Skip long, exposed walks in the middle of the day if you find warm weather tiring.

Carnival crowds

The Adana Orange Blossom Carnival usually takes place in April. It brings parades, music and food stalls to the city, especially around central streets and parks. Dates vary, so check the festival schedule before shaping your visit around it.

If you hate crowds, choose a visit outside carnival days. April is popular, but it's generally less busy than the summer months. Prices can rise around the festival, while quieter April dates are often easier on your budget. May is warmer, so April can be a comfortable choice before the heat builds.

For a practical Adana tip, try şalgam with your meal. It's a tangy fermented turnip drink, often served alongside the city's famous Adana kebab. If you're visiting Taşköprü, look for a nearby kebab restaurant rather than expecting food stalls on the bridge itself. Rain is possible, but it's usually not enough to rule out sightseeing; keep an indoor stop, such as the Adana Archaeology Museum, in mind.
