April weather

April feels mild and springlike in Nanyang. Days are warm enough for walking, while evenings can feel cool. Rain comes in spells, so a wet afternoon may interrupt an outdoor plan. The month gets more rain than March, but less than May.

You can spend a comfortable day at Nanyang Wuhou Shrine, then stroll around the old city. The spring weather also suits a visit to the Zhang Zhongjing Memorial Temple. For longer walks, keep your plans flexible in case rain rolls through. April's cloud and sun can change the feel of a day, so don't count on every afternoon being bright.

Holidays and crowds

Qingming Festival usually falls in early April. It's a time when people visit family graves, and travel can pick up around the holiday. Expect busier transport and more visitors at memorial sites. If you'd rather avoid that rush, choose dates away from the holiday period.

Outside Qingming, April is a good shoulder-season choice. It's one of Nanyang's best months, but it's generally less busy than the summer holiday season. Prices can be easier than during peak travel periods, though holiday dates may bring more demand.

April's daylight leaves room for sightseeing without rushing, but don't pack every activity into one outdoor stretch. Keep the Wuhou Shrine or a museum visit as a backup for a rainy spell.
